Heart of the Valley Running Club, founded in 2008, is a diverse group of road and trail runners from in and around Corvallis, Oregon. The Club provides runners with camaraderie and support, as well as various social activities. 

Since 2008, the Club has supported running in Corvallis. Our contributions include:

  • The Resolution Run, free to all runners
  • Corvallis Half Marathon Training Group
  • Corvallis Half Marathon Registration Team
  • Good Samaritan Challenge
  • Run for your Life
  • All Comers Track meets
  • Northwest Middle School Cross Country Showdown
  • Out to the Ballpark Run with the Corvallis Knights at Goss Stadium
  • Sponsors of the Bald Hill Porta-Potty

Runners of all abilities are welcome - please contact us if you have an interest in running. Many people attend a Thursday evening social run as their first Club run. If you're a morning person, there are plenty of options as well! Consult the calendar on our home page, and our Facebook group for details. Send an e-mail if you have any questions about the club.

"Motivation Monday" or "Recovery Run Monday"
Meet at the Fairgrounds entrance to the Midge Cramer Path. (map)
Group run. All paces welcome. Distance varies but typically we run for an hour or so. 4-8miles depending on group's interests. Some paved path. Some trail. Some hills. Once the weather turns a bit wet we stay to the paved path (mostly).
Always keep an eye on the Facebook group for day of announcements. While this workout does have some regulars, it doesn't have a main contact person.


5:30 – 6:45am

Warm ups. Various speed workouts. And a totally optional but totally worth it (kinda) post run workout. Abs by Abby.

"Group run"
Meet at SW 53rd and SW Reservoir Road (Fairground Parking Lot)
Paces usually 9:15/mile and up. All are welcome.

"Social run"
Meet at Five Star Sports. (map)
Social run, 3-6 miles. All abilities welcome! Nobody runs alone. Join us for a beer and food after the run.
